Part of Rodrigo Garcia's ongoing The Creation of Time series, Sundial No. 7 reinterprets one of humanity's oldest instruments as a sculptural meditation on our relationship with time. Drawing on ancient astronomy and the universal language of sundials, Garcia questions the systems through which we measure and experience time, inviting reflection on the distinction between natural rhythms and the structures imposed by modern life. Individually cast in bronze, each work is a unique study in material, geometry and the passage of time.

Rodrigo Garcia is a Uruguayan multidisciplinary artist, designer and environmental activist based between Uruguay and Paris. His investigative practice moves between collectible design, conceptual art and environmental advocacy, exploring material responsibility, ecology, time and the systems that shape contemporary life.
Without formal training in design, Garcia has developed a distinctive practice in which functional and sculptural objects become vehicles for environmental and conceptual inquiry. His work challenges conventional ideas of utility while encouraging a more considered relationship between material, function and environmental impact.
