A former film student turned designer, Staples channeled this sensitivity into Blue Green Works, the Manhattan-based studio he founded in 2020 and continues to lead as Creative Director. Since its inception, Blue Green Works has established a confident point of view rooted in cultural fluency and innovative craftsmanship. Its collections blend a reverence for design history with personal influences ranging from beach towns and athletics to rock music, tattoo design, and contemporary art. The studio’s work is defined by visual simplicity, clarity of construction, and a belief that good design should be lived with—not tiptoed around.
